At SKILLSCOACH we provide high quality football coaching services to children aged 5-12yrs old. Our prime focus is to develop the whole child - physically, mentally, socially, and technically - within a fun-filled sports environment.
SKILLSCOACH has been providing sports coaching and teaching service for the past 3 years in and around South West London. Our coaches have over 13 years’ experience in PE Teaching professions and sports coaching.
Our approach to sports coaching is a child-led process.
It starts with PLAY. It then encourages the child to LEARN. It then results in the development of new skills, that enable them to PERFORM, both in sports and also in life.

At SKILLSCOACH, although we are a small business, we believe in Corporate Social Responsibility which is why £1 of every booking goes directly to worthy causes in South Africa & Sub-Saharan Africa. We use this money with our charity partners to directly provide support for schools and community groups. 100% of our donations goes to worthy causes.
OUR COACHES
At SKILLSCOACH, we hire great people but crucially brilliant coaches. Meet our team of expert coaches and understand a little more about who we are.
At SKILLSCOACH we know children respond to enthusiastic, passionate and fun adults who can interact with children in a positive way, which is why we only hire great people. Our coaches must be FA Qualified or Sport relevant Governing Body qualified, First Aid Trained, DBS checked and undertaken all relevant FA Child Safeguarding courses before they coach with us. Aside from qualifications we have a detailed recruitment process where each coach is assessed on their coaching ability and to ensure they meet our criteria and match our values.
We regularly review our coaching team and support their Continued Professional Development through our fantastic coach mentoring programme. Our most experienced coaches support our newer coaches where they can upskill themselves in CPD days and progress on our Coach Education programme.

Robin Mallinson
Head of Coach Education at SKILLSCOACH, Robin has over 14 years’ experience in coaching and managing within the football and sports industry. His experience inter-laces Academy football, Non-League and grassroots youth coaching. He has a UEFA A license, FA Youth Award and is a qualified FA Tutor. He has worked at The FA, Southampton FC Academy, Brentford FC Academy and Non League Pro Team Burnham FC. Robin’s 14 years’ experience has earnt him great respect across football world and rightfully oversees all our coach education and mentoring. Robin is a passionate Liverpool fan.
Sabiha Jamal
Lead Coach at SKILLSCOACH, Sab has over 9 years’ experience coaching football where she has worked in Dubai, UAE and various coaching organisations in London. Sab is a FA Level 2 coach with a Masters of Science in Football Coaching and Analysis. She had undertaken various roles as a football analyst and continues to follow her passion of playing football too, playing at the top level in the UAE, representing England in the FIF7 World Cup in Italy last year and most recently signing for Coventry United LFC.
Senna Lawrence
SKILLSCOACH Co-founder Senna has been coaching and teaching for over 13 years. He is a fully qualified Primary School Teacher within a local primary school and has worked for many years both as a classroom teacher and PE Specialist. He studied for a degree in Sports Science at St Mary’s University London and has coached for Chelsea FC. He holds a QTS Certificate, FA Level 2, FA Youth Module 2 and various qualifications in other sports. Senna is an avid Arsenal fan!
Matt Gale
SKILLSCOACH Founder and Head Coach, Matt is a Primary PE Specialist and has been coaching and PE teaching for over 13 years. Matt is a PE teacher in a local Primary School and has coached for The FA and at various Premier League Clubs including Fulham FC Academy. Matt studied for a degree in Sports Coaching Science at St Mary’s University London, has a UEFA B license, FA Youth Award and holds a Level 5 Certificate in Primary School Physical Education Specialism. Matt is a passionate Arsenal fan!
