FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
We run a variety of Camps during every school holiday – you can find the dates and what’s on offer on our Holiday Camps page. Look out for details on our social media too @SkillsCoachUK
We ask that children bring:
- Suitable shoes for moving about! (Trainers and Football Boots, especially for grass)
- Wear clothing suitable for the weather.
- A healthy packed lunch (nut free).
- A water bottle – we can refill at all our venues.
- Please clearly label everything so we can ensure your child goes home with all the things they came with!
Our camps vary so it is important to check on the booking page for the age restrictions. All information can be found on the booking page. However we predominantly welcome children aged 5–12 years old.
You can see a full list of our available programmes here. We have a little something for everyone, boy or girl, beginner, or experienced pro!
We ask parents to inform Skills Coach of any allergies that their child(ren) have before they attend one of our Camps so that the team can take all necessary precautions. This information is available to input on the booking page. If your child has an EpiPen we ask that is left with us during camps. We also have a NO NUT policy at all our camps.
All medication must be handed in at registration. If your child has an adrenaline auto-injector (e.g. an EpiPen) please try to ensure that this is appropriately labelled. Unfortunately Children will not be allowed to attend camp if the EpiPen is out of date. Medication will be placed in a bag specific to your child and be handled by the Head Coach in the event of an emergency.
Skills Coach has a long list of policies and procedures in place which are available upon request by emailing – firstname.lastname@example.org
Skills Coach has policies on Safeguarding, First Aid, Smart Devices, Recruitment, Major Incidents, Behaviour Management and Anti Bullying.
Depending on the type of camp we offer a variety of activities that include football, team games, and multisport sessions to keep your child entertained. If you check our programmes section you can find out more.
Please check your specific camp as times can vary. However most Camps registration is at 9am. Children normally start the days activities by 9:15am before breaking for lunch at 10:30am and Lunch at 12 with Collection from 3pm.
We offer full refunds or credit notes if provided with at least 24 hours notice for all activities. Please note however that this doesn’t include the 4.5% +0.20p booking site admin fee per booking. Refunds can take 5-10 days to process.
We don’t currently take Childcare Vouchers however we are exploring using this service in the near future.
All our activities are discounted when block booking, whether that’s a camp or regularly midweek activity. We also offer sibling discounts for camps, all information can be found on our booking page.
We do our best to ensure each child is with someone they know, where possible with their friends, however we cannot guarantee they will all be in the same group. We can guarantee they will have a great day!
When it rains, we do our best to get outside as much as possible. It is advised to always bring a rain jacket and spare set of clothes. We always ensure children have a varied day regardless of the weather, if it is heavy rain we will always prioritise children’s safety. Not all our venues have space to play football indoors, however we have a number of fun indoor games to keep children engaged!
All our coaches are qualified first aiders and all first aid incidents are administered by our Head Coach. In the event of a head injury or serious injuries parents are called straight away. In the event of bumps and grazes we complete a First Aid slip which is handed to parents at the end of the day, for your peace of mind.
